Your activity, and who can see it

Your details go from RePlay straight to api.strem.io. There is no server behind RePlay, so nothing reaches us and your password is never kept anywhere. The session key the backend hands back is held for this browser tab so a refresh does not sign you out, and is discarded when you close it. Tick the box above and it is kept on this device instead, until you sign out or press forget. Rather than take that on trust, read the source: RePlay is a single HTML file, published in full, so you can follow exactly where your password goes.

Who can see your activity

Sync only works if the record lives on a server, so all three keep the same kinds of entry. The difference is whose server it is, and who there can read it.

A Nuvio backend you run Yours Readable by you, and by whoever hosts it.

Stremio has no backend you can run yourself, so moving means changing app as well as server: only Nuvio's apps can be pointed at one. That backend does store more than Stremio's, because it also holds your profiles, your devices and your provider keys, which is how your apps set themselves up the moment you sign in. Whoever runs the server can read it, and that includes us if you have us run it. What changes is that you pick who, your record sits in its own database rather than pooled with everyone else's, and you can export the lot and take it elsewhere whenever you like.

Whether any of that matters is your call. Plenty of people read this and shrug, which is a fine answer.

Get your own Nuvio backend → Or generate a RePlay above and see what is in your own account first.
